Dallas Smith will see pretty much every corner of his home province in October.
The Lower Mainland product will hit the road for an expansive Canadian tour this fall and he’ll spend virtually the entire first month in British Columbia.
That show in Kamloops, as he’ll play the Sagebrush Theatre on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
It’s an unplugged tour, which means fans will be treated to a stripped-down, acoustic performance from Smith and his band.
“There’s something special about taking it all back to the songs, the stories and the raw connection that happens when it’s just you, your long-time band, and the audience,” Smith wrote in a social media post announcing the tour.
“I can’t wait to bring this experience across Canada and for you to see what we have in store.”
Brock Phillips will be joining them as an opening act.
After beginning his career as the frontman for the multi-platinum rock band Default in the 2000s, Smith has since established himself as one of Canada’s brightest country stars.
The 47-year-old is a Juno winner for his 2014 album Lifted and has a closet full of British Columbia Country Music Association awards as well.
With a dozen No. 1 hits on the Canadian country charts, the setlist for his unplugged tour promises to be full of singalong moments.
Tickets to see Smith and his band on tour this fall will go on sale online at 10 am on Wednesday, Aug. 13.
