(UPDATE: March 13, 2020 @ 2:30 pm) - Cirque du Soleil has cancelled its summer tour dates in British Columbia.
That means the highly-anticipated performance of AXEL will not go ahead as planned at the Sandman Centre from June 18-21.
All tickets purchased at Select Your Tickets via the internet or phone will automatically be refunded to the purchasing credit card on file.
Anyone who bought tickets in person will need to visit the Select Your Tickets box office to get a refund.
Shows in Victoria, Abbotsford, Kelowna and Prince George have also been cancelled.

Cirque Du Soleil is travelling to the River City to showcase "Axel," their brand new "ice spectacle." The show promises spectacular skating, breathtaking acrobatics, live music and more.
"Join Axel and his adrenaline-fueled crew on an exhilarating adventure as his passion for music and graphic arts takes you on an electrifying journey," wrote Cirque Du Soleil on the performance. "See sparks fly as Axel falls for the captivating Lei. Together they jet off on a fast-moving quest through fantastic and colourful worlds to retrieve the stolen light from the mystical Vi. Will Axel find his voice and fulfil his destiny?"
Axel is set to appear in Kamloops from Jun 18th to the 21st with six shows at the Sandman Centre. The six shows include three at 7:30 pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, a 4 pm show on Saturday, as well as 1:30 and 5 pm shows on Sunday.
