The City of Kamloops is hopping on that digital fad, this time with a new map that outlines where and when street sweeping will occur.
The interactive map shows all areas that have or have yet to be swept. Streets highlighted green are spots that have seen action, the red indicates they have not, yellow are streets that are up next, and grey is not applicable.
Street sweeping will continue for at least another month with downtown Kamloops seeming to be the next spot of interest.
Residents should remember to keep vehicles off the road and remove items that impede the street sweeper from cleaning debris on the road edge. To make sure your area is swept, do not create piles of sand near your home as it can damage the sweeper.
Street sweeping will occur between the hours of 8 a.m. and midnight and then again from midnight to 8 a.m. Signage will be posted at least 24 hours before an area is scheduled to be swept.
