The City of Kamloops is warning residents that there will be some service adjustments at the Tournament Capital Centre due to several events happening next month.
The events will impact the Fieldhouse track and courts over a 15-day period from Mar. 6 to 23.
Some of the events happening include the Thompson Valley RC Racers Mid-Winter Challenge, Kamloops Track and Field Club events, Kamloops Gymnastics Trampoline Centre Invitational, Gathering Our Voices, and the Interior Highland Dance Association Spring Highland Dance competition.
In addition, the Canada Games Aquatic Centre will be hosting the Interior Artistic Fun Meet on Mar. 8, which will cause some schedule adjustments.
Anyone who regularly uses the pool should expect higher traffic during spring break, which runs from Mar 17-28, and because the facility will be operating the AquaTrack inflatable obstacle course.
Although all these events will be happening, the city says the Wellness Centre and Athlete Performance Centre will still be open with standard operating hours and the outside track at Hillside Stadium will also be open, depending on the weather.
An alternative option for indoor walking is the Sandman Centre concourse, which is open for Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 am to noon while all those events are happening at the TCC.
The city says anyone who has a membership for only the indoor track area at the TCC fieldhouse will automatically receive an extension to their accounts for the duration of the closure.
