How does chipotle mango chicken, a striploin steak, all-you-can-eat Mongolian buffet or Oreo cheesecake jar sound?
All of them, and much more, are on the menu for Dine Around Kamloops, which kicks off today at four restaurants in the city.
Dine Around will obviously look and feel different this year because of the pandemic.
However, the annual event is surging ahead until March 7 with eateries offering special three-course meals priced at $25, $35 and $45 with both dine-in and take-out options.
The take-out inclusion is new this year due to COVID-19.
Dine Around also features a recommended BC wine, beer and-or cocktail pairing for each course.
The participating Kamloops restos are Romeo's Kitchen, Hoja Mongolian Grill, Browns Socialhouse and Moxie's.
Even with the pall of a pandemic, more than 8,000 in the Thompson Okanagan are expected to Dine Around by either eating in the restaurant or ordering take out.
Usually Dine Around is three weeks and stops short of Valentine's Day to encourage people to eat out in the traditionally slow stretch between New Year's Eve and Valentine's Day.
The adjusted timing, take-out option and Valentine's Day inclusion gives Dine Around more of a chance to be a success in the midst of a pandemic.
By the way, the aforementioned chipotle mango chicken is on the Dine Around menu of Moxie's.
That striploin steak can be cut into at Romeo's in the Coast Kamloops Hotel.
And Brown's Socialhouse is home to that Oreo cheesecake jar.
