An investigation into flight from police and dangerous driving ended with Kamloops RCMP seizing drugs and guns earlier this week.
A news release said RCMP officers were responding to a separate investigation at a motel on the 2400-block of the Trans-Canada Highway in Valleyview on Sunday around 7 am.
While arresting a suspect, police officers noticed items consistent with drug trafficking inside the motel room, which led to the arrest of another person.
The RCMP officers also obtained a search warrant which resulted in a handgun, firearm magazines, cash and suspect methamphetamine, fentanyl and crack cocaine being seized.
The suspect who was arrested for the driving offences was given a court date and conditions before being released.
Charges are expected, the news release explained.
An investigation into the drugs and guns is ongoing and officers are collecting evidence.
The suspect who was arrested was released without process as the investigation continues.
