Have you seen Rusty?
A Valleyview business is on the lookout for one of its favourite possessions after suspects stole from their location over the weekend.
According to the ReTack Shop, a full-sized model horse was accidentally left out on Friday night, which led to it being stolen. The 15.2hh chestnut bolted to a green platform with wheels and a large white star was taken from 2020C Falcon Road.
"The horse was not wearing a halter or blanket but could be dragging his chains behind him," wrote the shop. "If anyone sees him, please let us know - we are hoping to recover him in one piece!"
"A truck would have been needed or he has been pushed on his own wheels, but he does not push easily, nor like rough terrain, so could be laying down in the grass somewhere close, if anyone sees him."
Since the initial theft, parts of the model horse were found by HUB Insurance. The head, its two legs, and the platform are still missing.
"Looks like some people wanted the platform and the horse was just a casualty! The legs were bolted to the platform so I assume two legs were easy to get off so went with the platform - not sure why they needed the head."
Anyone with information on the horse is urged to contact the shop at (778)-471-3342 or RCMP at (250)828-3000.
