A GoFundMe has been created for a Kamloops family following the tragic loss of their child.
According to Rowena Blanchfield, the organizer of the fundraiser, Christoper and Hyacinth Placente's 19-month-old child Charles passed away on Sunday.
The money raised will go towards end of life costs, future expenses, and to make the parents' lives "a little easier in the short term."
"We have created this fund to help them during this difficult time in their lives," wrote Blanchfield. "We hope to give them at least the comfort of freedom from immediate financial distress as they come to terms with their loss."
In just over 24 hours, the GoFundMe has raised $1,605 of its $5,000 goal.
"Finally, the family wishes to encourage all of their friends and loved ones to become organ donors. Although they have lost their dear baby, his organs will save the lives of many others."
