Have you ever wanted to learn guitar or see if it’s a hobby you’d be able to invest in?
Well you are in luck. On Thursday, the Thompson-Nicola Regional Library (TNRL) launched the new guitar lending program which is available through all libraries throughout the region.
The program, which was made possible thanks to a partnership with Riversong Guitars, allows library users to place a hold on an acoustic guitar and borrow one for up to six weeks at a time.
“This program aims to increase access in our communities for residents who want to play or learn to play guitar,” said Judy Moore ,TNRL chief librarian.
Riversong Guitars is an award-winning and world famous local company, and the TNRL is grateful for their support of lifelong learning across the Thompson-Nicola region.”
Two locally designed acoustic guitars are available: the Dreadnought and the Grand Auditorium.
“A guitar is a voice, a companion and an outlet. On behalf of Riversong Guitars and Lee’s Music, I am very proud to be partnering with the TNRD in such an amazing way,” said Mike Miltimore, Riversong Guitars CEO.
