Hotel 540 to undergo full property renovations

Kamloops-based Hotel 540 has announced that it will undergo a full property closure to transition to a Delta Hotel by Marriot.

The 150 room hotel will undergo the $8 million renovation designed by BOX Interior Design Inc. General contracting will be done by Kamloops-based A&T Project Developments Inc. and is set to begin today.

It is anticipated to reopen mid April 2019.

Renovations will include modem design elements such as new beds, showers, work stations, complimentary wi-fi, a fitness facility, rooftop pool, lobby bar and a new restaurant.

“We spent more than two years looking for the ideal brand and hotel company to partner with that would work well with our employee-first culture. Delta and Marriott were the perfect fit. We also wanted to find a hotel company with a loyalty program that would benefit our guests, and Marriott Rewards which now includes Starwood Preferred is the best there is,” said Bryan Pilbeam, Vice President and General Manager of Hotel 540.

Sale and reservations staff will remain in operation during the renovation and will be accepting guests, wedding and event bookings starting in April 2019.
