Hundreds affected by power outage in Kamloops

BC Hydro is currently dealing with a power outage affecting Kamloops residents.

According to Hydro, 515 customers in the Valleyview area are without power. The incident is affecting those west of Shuswap Road, east of Hwy 5 and north of Highland Road.

Crews are currently on-site. The power has been off since 10:47 am.

At this point, the cause of the outage is still under investigation.

A second outage on Pemberton Terrace has 29 customers without power. This power outage is due to planned work that has been conducted since just before 10 am.
