The Kamloops Search and Rescue (KSAR) team was called out to rescue an injured paraglider this week.
According to KSAR, the paraglider crashed near Sabiston Creek Road, which is near Savona.
They injured their head and shoulders after landing in a cacti patch.
Seventeen members attended and by the time they arrived, the medevac team was on site stabilizing their patient.
KSAR was able to help with a rope rescue to lower the person down the steep hillside.
The injured paraglider was handed off to BC Emergency Health Services for further medical attention.
“We wish the paraglider a speedy recovery,” the KSAR team said.
