The Kamloops RCMP are looking to identify a pair of suspects alleged to be involved in a large theft from a local archery club.
The alleged theft happened on Oct. 29 at a target club on the 2700-block of Hillside Drive.
Mounties say bows, arrows, hats, shirts, armguard and gloves were among the recovered items found in a bushy area of Westsyde Road on Tuesday.
“Evidence was seized for forensic examination and the rest of the items were returned to the club,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
Members of the club are happy the items were recovered and they will begin the process of assessing which items can still be used and what might still be missing.
“We’re really happy to have gotten some of our stuff back,” said Katie Britton of the club.
“It’s good because now we can start to plan for our beginners’ programs again.”
Britton also thanked the community for their support in providing donation and information following the break and enter.
The Kamloops RCMP say they have received numerous tips and continue to follow up on information provided as part of the investigation.
“It was great to see so many items recovered and returned, but the investigation isn’t over yet,” said Cpl. Evelyn.
“The public is encouraged to please contact police as soon as possible if they have information that could be related, including the identity of the suspects or the movements of the truck they were observed driving.”
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-35765.
