Kamloops International Buskers Festival set to return next weekend

The Kamloops Buskers Festival (KIBF) is returning to Riverside Park next weekend.

The annual event will feature six professional street performers as well as local and regional performers.

Riverside Park will be transformed to allow for artisans, food vendors and more.

From July 25-28, residents can enjoy a variety of entertainment.

Shows start at noon daily Friday-Sunday and 5-9 pm on Thursday.

Since its inception the KIBF’s objective has been to bring a high caliber of performing arts programming to the Interior of BC in a fun, accessible and inclusive way,” the release says.

“We are working with world-class street performers and amazing local talent to provide Kamloops with a truly one-of-a-kind experience.”

Below is a brief description of the performers taking over the main stage. More information about who’s coming can be found here.

Rogan Josh will be showing off his impressive acrobatic ladder skills and other balancing stunts.

This performer has won multiple awards for his stunts and is sure to be a fun show to watch.

The Wham Glam Circus Man is a winner of Best Circus at Perth, Melbourne, and Adelaide Fringe Festivals and will be bringing “death-defying circus stunts and side-splitting comedy” to the stage.

The Big Wheel Show will feature performer Hannah contorting herself through rings, spinning and rolling through her massive wheel and engaging with the audience for a fiery show.

The KIBF says Like Nobody is Watching features Victor Rubilar, a 25-time award-winning performer, who celebrates Argentinian culture through a thrilling fusion of soccer passion, vibrant Latin American energy, and a dose of 1920’s aesthetics.

Danger Magic Show is a brand new show this year and will feature the comedy daredevil magic of Clinton W. Gray which is guaranteed to bring a roller-coaster ride of antics, laughs and “speechless amazement.”

There will be circus feats, hula hooping, questionable magic, and of course beach buckets of fun for the whole family to enjoy with the final main stage show called Gracie B – A Day at the Beach.
