The Kamloops RCMP are asking for witnesses or video footage of a shooting that happened early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired on the 1300-block of Hugh Allan Drive shortly after 2:30 am on Saturday.
When officers arrived, they confirmed that gunshots had been fired, but there was no one present.
A suspect vehicle, a black Dodge Ram, was found on fire about 20 minutes later on the 2000 block of Tremerton Drive, about 2.5 km east.
The truck had been reported as stolen from a residence on Belfour Court around 2:30 am.
Two suspects connected to the shooting were described as males.
A release says one was dressed in a black top, dark pants, and white shoes with orange on the back and the other had a black top, blue jeans, and black shoes with orange on the bottom.
Frontline officers, members of the Police Dog Services Unit, the Kamloops RCMp Forensic Identification Services Unit and the General Investigations Team are all involved in the investigation.
“We are asking anyone who has any security or dash cam footage, or information related to the stolen vehicle report, shooting, or fire, to please contact police as soon as possible,” says Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.
