A recent search warrant executed by the Kamloops RCMP resulted in a large amount of suspected drugs and weapons being seized earlier this month.
A news release says the detachment’s Targeted Enforcement Unit (TEU) attended a house on the 2700-block of Westsyde Road on Thursday, April 11 as a part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking.
The Police Dog Service Unit was also called in to help the TEU.
Officers located and seized approximately one kilogram of suspected methamphetamine, 12 ounces of suspected cocaine and 11 ounces of suspected fentanyl.
According to the release, officers also seized cash and weapons including a carbine, two shotguns, a rifle and a taser.
One person was arrested and later released as a part of the investigation.
Superintendent Jeff Pelley, Kamloops RCMP Detachment Commander, says this seizure “complements” other recent seizures made by the TEU.
“We look forward to being able to announce more future successes as we continue to advance our ongoing investigations,” Supt Pelley says in the release.
The Kamloops RCMP ask those with information related to criminal activity can contact the detachment at (250) 828-3000.
