The Kamloops RCMP are looking for information about several fires started on Summit Drive Sunday morning.
At about 4:40 am, the RCMP attended the 1300-block of Summit Dr. where Kamloops Fire Rescue was responding to four different fires.
According to the police, the fires were all set in less than 20 minutes.
Another fire was reported in the Grandview Terrace and Columbia Street area around 7 am.
A male suspect linked to the second set of fires was arrested but the RCMP said there was insufficient evidence to advance any charges.
The man was later released pending further investigation.
“Fortunately, there was no significant damage as a result of these fires,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.
“Police are investigating to determine whether or not these fires are related.”
Anyone with information about the fires is asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and cite files 2025-33257 and 2025-33264.
