Kamloops RCMP look to identify Lansdowne Street robbery suspect

The RCMP say they are looking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect involved in a Mar. 28 robbery in downtown Kamloops.

In a news release issued Tuesday Afternoon, Mounties say they are releasing the image of the man in hopes of furthering the investigation.

On Mar. 28, RCMP officers were called to the 400-block of Lansdowne Street around 2:30 pm for a report of an alleged robbery.

According to the news release, a store employee had tried to stop a man from stealing, however, the suspect allegedly pulled out a weapon.

The employee was not injured and the suspect fled the scene.

“Officers were not able to locate the suspect at the time of the occurrence, but are hopeful someone from the public can identify him based on the image released, and help further the investigation,” said Corporal Crystal Evelyn, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson, in the release.
