The Kamloops RCMP is hoping the public can help identify a suspect in an assault with a weapon investigation.

Officers responded to the incident at a bus stopped at Tranquille Road and Poplar Street around 8:20 pm on Feb. 10. According to police, two men in their 20s assaulted a man in his 60s with “blunt force objects.”

“One of the men was quickly identified, but the second one still remains unknown at this time,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “Police are releasing an image of the unidentified man in hopes that someone will recognize him and contact the detachment, or that he’ll do the right thing and come forth to help further the investigation.”

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his 20s with a dark, thick moustache. At the time, he was wearing a white camo hoodie, a black Chicago White Sox hat and a white cross-body fanny pack with green zipper flies.

Anyone with information related to the incident or the outstanding suspect is urged to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
