Kamloops RCMP seek 2 suspected arsonists connected to a trailer fire

The Kamloops RCMP say they are investigating a reported case of arson that took place over the May long weekend.

Officers were called to assist Kamloops Fire and Rescue with a suspicious fire at an address that is known to police on Sunday at about 8:15 am, a news release says.

The release says they responded to a property on 10th Street.

Police say a trailer containing household items was damaged after what appeared to be an incendiary device was thrown at it.

According to the release two male suspects with “light skin” were noted to be in the area.

“The first, was wearing a black hoodie, large tan backpack, and had a beard. The second, was in a plaid jacket with a dark hood up,” the release says.

The pair have yet to be located.

Anyone with information or video footage of the incident can contact the Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-14978.
