UPDATE: Driver of truck connected to Valleyview crash comes forward to police

(UPDATE: Oct. 18 @ 11:35 am) - Police have identified the driver of the truck that was connected to a four-vehicle crash in Valleyview last week.

The driver contacted the detachment, which the Kamloops RCMP said helped to further the investigation.

Images of the truck have now been removed from this story.

(Original story: Oct. 13 @ 2:30 pm) - Police in Kamloops are hoping to speak with the driver of a white truck that was at the scene of a recent crash.

The four-vehicle collision happened on the Trans-Canada Highway at Valleyview Drive around 4 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Fortunately, there were no injuries.

Police received reports that a white Chevy pickup, towing a trailer, was stopped in the inside lane of the highway, but left before officers arrived.

“The truck had distinctive large yellow cones in its pickup box,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “Police are looking to speak with the driver to help further the investigation.”

Anyone with information or footage of the incident, or on the white truck in question, can contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
