Kamloops RCMP unable to track down suspicious vehicle after weapons complaint

Kamloops RCMP is warning the public after hearing reports of a suspicious vehicle in Westsyde on Tuesday night.

According to police, at 6:45 pm, a witness reported seeing a vehicle where an occupant appeared to be holding a firearm.

Police conducted extensive patrols in the area and located a vehicle nearby that roughly matched the description. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle located was not involved.

Patrols through the night did not locate the vehicle either.
