The Kamloops RCMP Detachment responded to over 330 calls for service this weekend.
A few of the reports officers responded to include two break and enters, a weapons report, a disturbance report, an alleged assault in Aberdeen and a shoplifting incident.
Below are a few of these calls highlighted by Kamloops RCMP media spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn.

Officers were called to a business on the 200-block of Victoria Street on Monday morning, shortly after 3 am. When officers arrived on scene they found a glass door had been smashed. The Police Dog Service was called in, but no suspect was found. The investigation continues.
On Sunday, around 10 am, officers responded to a report of a man waving a knife around. When officers arrived at 2nd Avenue and Seymour Street, they were flagged down. The man was located, arrested and later released with conditions and a court date, the release says.
Reports of people screaming in a car on April 13, around 6 pm, led officers to a commercial building on the 700-block of Sydney Avenue. The vehicle was located with three people inside, two of which were arguing. The driver was found to have no licence, was prohibited and the licence plate was being misused, the news release says. Violation tickets were issued.
Man arrested for assault – 2024-10773
According to the news release, officers were called to the 2100–block of Van Horne Drive where two people were walking by a school and allegedly assaulted by an unknown man on Saturday, around 9:20 pm. A suspect was located nearby and arrested. He was released with conditions and a court date and charges are anticipated, say police in the release.
Shortly before 8 am on April 13, officers attended a commercial location on Columbia Street for a report of a theft in progress. A woman was arrested and the merchandise was retrieved, the release says. She was found to be wanted on unendorsed warrants and taken into custody.
On April, around 12:35 am, officers were called to the 100-block of Chestnut Avenue, where an alarm had gone off and a light was observed inside a shed. As the officer approached the outbuilding with the homeowner, the suspect flung the door open, allegedly jumped a fence, and fled on a bike stashed nearby.
The suspect is described as 6’, thin, wearing a grey hoodie, blue jean shorts, and a head lamp.
