The annual Kamloops Winter Block Party is returning later this month.
On Saturday, Dec. 9, from noon until 4 pm, the 300-block of Victoria Street will be shut down to traffic to make way for festive, family-friendly events.
The annual event will feature an afternoon full of fun including live music from local artists, crafts, an artisan market and a visit from Santa himself.
Attendees will get a chance to make ornaments at the Kamloops Art Gallery’s booth or to grab some fresh popcorn from Mountaineer Kettle Corn.
The event is sure to be a great way to get in some holiday shopping all while supporting local artists and makers.
There will be road closures in effect from 8 am until 4 pm in the area so drivers are advised to keep an eye out for signage and be sure to plan out a detour.
Don't forget that there is free on-street parking in the downtown area throughout December.
