Sweet Spot Cupcakes announced a change in leadership this week.
After five sweet years of owning the Dufferin cupcake shop, Natalie Fournier announced she was selling it to long-time store employee Paige Knapp.
"Hello everyone, I am writing this message with a heavy heart," wrote Fournier. "As of September 1st, I will no longer be the proud owner of Sweet Spot Cupcakes. I have sold the store to one of my staff members that you have all gotten to know and love, Paige Knapp."
"The last five years have been, five wonderful years that my mom and I, will cherish forever. You have all be so kind and loyal to us and what we represent and I am sure you will continue to do the same for Paige."
Fournier mentioned that Knapp would be keeping a similar business model so fans wouldn't have to change spots for their favourite cupcakes and desserts.
"I will miss being a part of the Sweet Spot Cupcake family. Our work and love have been a piece of many celebrations in the past five years and we will miss that. I leave knowing the shop and all of you will be left in good hands."
"I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the joy and love you have given me, my mom, and my Sweet Spot Family over the years. We couldn't be who we are without you. With a heavy heart, my mom and I say goodbye to you all."
Knapp will take over the shop on September 1st.
