Kamloops is getting a Sephora this summer

(UPDATE @ 1:20 p.m.) — The general manager of Aberdeen Mall says Sephora will replace Le Chateau, which closed its doors this past weekend.

Sephora is slated to open in the summer of 2018 and the store will be about 4,300 square feet.

"Sephora has always been in our top list of most requested tenants," Sandra Neufeld said. "We always try and go after the tenants that the public wants us to bring here.

"We started speaking with Sephora a few years ago, letting them know there was genuine interest from the consumers in Kamloops. Those conversations have been taking place over the last couple of years, but it's all about timing."

(Story @ 12:30 p.m.) — Hot on the heels of Lululemon’s Kamloops debut, Aberdeen Mall has announced Sephora will also be opening up shop in the city.

The announcement Monday confirmed the cosmetics retailer will open at Aberdeen Mall in the summer of 2018.

There are few other retail chains that have been requested in Kamloops as much as Sephora has, according to the Twitterverse. There's no official opening date, but it's safe to say makeup fans are over the moon:
