Kamloops’ newest urgent primary care centre opened on Tuesday.
The new centre is located at the Northills Mall Unit #21-22, 700 Tranquille Rd
Interior Health (IH) says the centre opened at 11 am on Tuesday and will be carrying out a phased opening until Dec. 10.
From Nov. 26 until Dec. 2, the centre will be open from 11 am to 3 pm.
From Dec. 3 to Dec. 9, it will be open from 11 am to 6:30 pm.
According to IH, phone lines open at 10 am.
After Dec. 10, the center will open from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, including statutory holidays.
Interior Health says walk-in availability is limited and prioritized on urgency.
“There is no guarantee you will be seen by a physician/nurse practitioner,” IH says.
“If you are not able to be seen that day, an appointment will be booked for you at a future date, or you will be directed to alternate services as appropriate.”
IH says booked appointments are preferred and can be made by calling (250) 314-2256.
