Kamloops residents won't have to go far when looking for a quaint place to stay in the River City.
According to owner Jassi Sangha, The Hue Hotel opens today at noon. Sangha explained that this hotel differs from most in Kamloops as it has a unique boutique style.
"We're actually heading down there in the next ten minutes," said Sangha. "Noon the doors will be opened."
Sangha adds that, at five storeys, The Hue Hotel is the tallest building in the Aberdeen area. It includes 36 rooms, 24 of which, have apartment-style kitchenettes.
"So it's 36 rooms, and out of the 36, we have 24 that are apartment style kitchenettes. We've had several hotels in the past, and we wanted to appeal to all markets."
"When sports teams come in, they have tournament, a lot of parents don't want to eat out everynight, they want to cook inside. We know if we had construction work in Kamloops going on, and we have people staying for seven or eight days, same thing, they want to cook their own meals. They don't want to spend $20 or $30 every night."

The Hue Hotel is offering residents 20% off original rates if they book on the grand opening. Sangha hopes The Hue Hotel will be able to partner with some of the many exciting businesses that surround his venue in the near future.
"We haven't really finalized them yet, but we have been talking to a few companies around here. Nothing I can say yet."
