The City of Kamloops says property tax notices are in the mail and will start arriving this week.
City council adopted the 7.42% property tax increase on April 15.
Those who have opted in to receive e-bills should watch for an email notice to arrive soon.
Property taxes and Home Owner Grant Applications will be due on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.
The city notes that city hall will be closed on July 1.
Be sure to pay the bill on time to avoid a 10% penalty that is applied for late payments.
The city is offering several payment options for property taxes.
City hall will be open from 8 am to 4 pm and the Tournament Capital Centre will be open from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
The city will be extending opening hours until 6 pm beginning on June 23.
Cheques can also be deposited at several dropbox locations, including the 24/7 one at city hall.
Dropboxes are available at Tournament Capital Centre, North Shore Community Policing Office and Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre during facility hours.
Payments can be made online at Kamloops.ca/Payment with a Visa or Mastercard.
However, a non-refundable 1.75% convenience fee will apply for online payments.
