Kamloops residents asked to avoid Fleetwood Avenue due to unfolding RCMP response

The Kamloops RCMP executed a high-risk search warrant Friday morning on the North Shore and are asking members of the public to avoid the area.

Members of the Southeast District Emergency Response Team (ERT) were deployed to a house in the 2300-block of Fleetwood Avenue.

Some schools in the area have been notified but have not been shut down, a release from the RCMP said.

The search warrant is part of an ongoing investigation but additional details are not available at this time.

The RCMp said more information will be released once it becomes available.
