(UPDATE: Oct. 1 @ 12:16 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP have confirmed that a crash between a transit bus and fuel truck on Ord Road has resulted in one fatality.
The bus was not in service so no passengers were on board, the RCMP said.
Cpl. Dana Napier said the road remains closed between Westsyde Road at 8th Street and Singh Road while officers continue to investigate.
The crash, which happened shortly before 11 am, resulted in a fuel spill.
Kamloops Fire Rescue is one scene for clean up.
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the RCMP at (250) 828-3000.
(Original story: Oct. 1 @ 11:44 am) – The Kamloops RCMP are responding to reports of a crash between a city bus and fuel track on the North Shore.
Police said the collision happened shortly before 11 am in the 900-block of Ord Road.
As a result of the crash, the road is closed between Westsyde Road at 8th Street and Singh Road at Ord Road.
The RCMP are asking people to avoid the area as first responders are on the scene investigating the cause of the crash.
Anyone with dash cam or a witness to the crash is asked to please contact the Kamloops RCMP Detachment at (250) 828-3000 and cite file 2025-32756.
