The city is gearing up for the third phase of the Tranquille Road Sanitary Main and Road Enhancement Project this summer.
Due to the impacts the project will have, residents are being invited to the first of two information sessions to learn more about the project.
This is the third and final project phase of replacing the aging sanitary infrastructure and crews will be working between Crestine and Southill streets.
The project will also see new sidewalks, new curbs and gutters and a multi-use pathway are also being upgraded, a news release from the city says.
Additionally, the project will also include drainage catch basins, storm drainage infiltration access points, trees, bus pullouts, water system upgrades, lighting, and other related improvements.
Residents can attend an information session on Thursday, Jan. 23 at the Sports Centre Lounge at the McArthur Island Sport and Event Centre from 5:30-7 pm.
There will be staff on site to answer questions about the project design and potential impacts expected when construction starts.
The city is also reminding residents that once the enhancement project wraps up, the speed limit on Tranquille between Crestline and Southill streets will drop from 60 km/h to 50 km/h.
