It appeared that November has brought out the thieves in Kamloops.
According to Kamloops RCMP, the city had 36 vehicle break-ins between Nov. 2 and Sunday, which was three times as much as the 12 that occurred the week prior. Despite the increase in theft from vehicles, just two bicycles were stolen from around the community.
Of the 36, 13 thefts occurred in North Kamloops. The next most problem areas were Upper and Lower Sahali, which saw six thefts combined.
Dufferin and Pineview had a surprisingly large number of thefts with three taking place. Valleyview and Juniper, two spots that don't see too much action, also shared three incidents.
Surprisingly Downtown and the West End only combined for two-vehicle break-ins. The two bikes were stolen out of the North Shore and the city centre.
Some of the only areas not to experience theft last week were Brocklehurst and Dallas.
