Kamloops stabbing victim calls ambulance 3 days later, police now searching for suspect

The Kamloops RCMP is seeking witnesses after a Sunday stabbing, which wasn’t reported until Wednesday.

According to police, officers responded to the 200 block of Royal Avenue on Wednesday after an ambulance was called to assist a man.

He told paramedics that he had been stabbed three days earlier.

The RCMP said the incident happened in the 900 block of Columbia Street West, near the stairwell to Columbia Street, but no suspect description was provided.

“The victim did not report the incident at the time, but eventually required medical assistance,” said Cpl. Crystal Evelyn. “He is expected to recover from his injuries.”

Anyone who has information related to this investigation is urged to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
