A McDonald’s in Kamloops closed down on Sunday after it was discovered that an employee tested positive for COVID-19.
The location at 1055 Hillside Dr., inside Walmart, was immediately shut down and thoroughly cleaned and sanitized by a certified third party.
It has since reopened as of this morning and is now open regular business hours.
As for the employee who tested positive, their last shift was Nov. 5 from 7:30 am until 2 pm.
Anyone who visited this particular McDonald’s on Nov. 5 is advised to monitor themselves for potential symptoms of COVID-19 or visit the BC Centre for Disease Control website for more information.
In addition, McDonald’s says that “all crew members who may have been in close contact with the employee have been asked to self-quarantine until further information is available.
