A motorcyclist involved in a crash on Highway 1 earlier this afternoon is being treated for non-life threatening injuries at Royal Inland Hospital.
Staff Sgt. Ed Preto said the driver lost control of his motorcycle when braking suddenly to avoid a vehicle that was stopping suddenly in the westbound lane near the Tanager Drive junction.
Preto said the motorcycle slid more than 50 metres when the driver, a man in his 40s, fell off.
BC Ambulance, RCMP and Kamloops Fire Rescue responded to the crash shortly after 2 p.m. Highway 1 is open for traffic.
