(UPDATE: Sept. 19 @ 3:10 pm) – The Trans Canada Highway, west of Kamloops, is fully open.
The highway was seeing single-lane alternating traffic following a vehicle incident early Tuesday morning.
All lanes are available Tuesday afternoon.
(UPDATE: Sept. 19 @ 10:15 am) – Highway 1 is partially open west of Kamloops following an early morning vehicle incident.
The highway was closed in both directions between Savona and Cache Creek shortly before 3 am.

Anyone travelling the highway can expect to see single-lane alternating traffic in both directions west of Juniper Beach Provincial Park.
This could cause some delays, but highways 5, 97D and 97C are all available for alternate routes.
Another update form DriveBC is expected to be issued at noon on Tuesday.
(Oigrinal story: Sept. 19 @ 7:30 am) – The Trans-Canada Highway (Hwy 1) is currently closed west of Kamloops.
According to DriveBC, a multi-vehicle incident is responsible for the closure between Savona and Cache Creek.

The incident was first reported shortly before 3 am.
An assessment is in progress, but DriveBC doesn’t anticipate another update until 10 am.
In the meantime, a detour is available via Hwy 5, Hwy 97D and Hwy 97C.
