The City of Kamloops is seeking nominations for the Exemplary Service Awards.
The awards formally acknowledge people who have dedicated a “significant” amount of time and service in a voluntary contribution to the community’s growth and development as well as to the well-being of local citizens.
The awards are presented in two categories: Young Adults (under 30) and Adults (over 30).
Recipients need to have been residents in Kamloops throughout the time they are being recognized for and cannot be nominated by a family member.
A full list of criteria can be found here.
Award recipients will be recognized at an awards ceremony on April 17.
Nominations are open until 4:30 pm on Thursday, Mar. 14.
“Communities like Kamloops thrive because of the tireless efforts of its unsung heroes. It's the individuals who step up, recognize a need, and take action that truly define the spirit of our city," said Mayor Reid Hamer-Jackson.
“As we prepare for the Exemplary Service Awards, I’m excited to celebrate these remarkable individuals. I encourage everyone to nominate those whose outstanding service deserves acknowledgment.”
