Once Upon A Child celebrating grand opening in Kamloops next week

A new children’s consignment store is opening on Notre Dame Drive next week.

Once Upon A Child is a popular children’s clothing and accessories consignment store that offers affordable, gently used clothes, shoes, toys, equipment and more.

Local entrepreneur Michelle Clark is inviting guests to the new store, which will be located at #119-805 Notre Dame Dr. on Thursday June 15 to celebrate.

Once Upon A Child is part of a national retail franchise that focuses on sustainability, small business formation and providing all families with access to gently used clothing and more without breaking the bank.

“Our store fills a distinct niche in the retail market,” says Clark.

“I understand how expensive it is to raise children today and want to offer an affordable option for local families. By purchasing merchandise directly from consumers, we’re able to offer them lower prices and a great opportunity to receive cash on the spot for items they may have otherwise simply given away.”

People can either do shopping for their children or turn their gently used items into cash.

Unlike most consignment stores, no appointments are necessary. People can drop by the new store anytime from Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm and on Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm.

To celebrate the grand opening, the store will be offering a variety of giveaways from June 15 until June 18 including points, free balloons, visit form local princesses, a chance to enter a scooter, gift cards to Crooked Crown Gift Boutique, Nature’s Fare, Once Upon A Child and Home Depot.
