An area of Peterson Creek park is closed and the public is being asked to stay away from the area as the RCMP respond to a tragic death.
Police were called to the area under the Peterson Creek Bridge around 5:50 am on Wednesday.
Sadly, a young person died despite life saving measures.
The RCMP are investigating the circumstances of the death.
A news release says criminality is not believed to be a factor at this time.
“We offer our condolences to the family and friends for their loss,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.
