Kamloops mayor’s auto dealership significantly damaged following break-in

Police in Kamloops are investigating a break and enter at a commercial property along West Victoria Street.

On July 24, at around 2 pm, police were called to an insecure premise at 260 West Victoria Street, where TRU Market Auto is located.

The location of Mayor Hamer-Jackson’s auto dealership had been broken into and there was significant damage to the interior of the building.

The Kamloops RCMP added that it is believed that the break and enter occurred between July 21 and 24.

“The investigation is ongoing and police are canvassing for witnesses and surveillance,” wrote the RCMP.

“Should anyone have any information, they are asked to call the Kamloops RCMP at (250) 828-3000.”
