Kamloops Fire Rescue put out the flames and determined the fire was suspicious, which led to the RCMP taking over the investigation.

"I can now confirm that investigators have established that this fire is the result of arson," said S/Sgt. Kris Clark.

"The fire appears to have been intentionally set, and we are looking to speak with anyone who might have any information."

Anyone with information who has yet to speak with police is urged to reach out to the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000 (file 2025-35751).

Investigators are also looking to track down security or dash cam footage from the area in the hours before or after the fire.
