(UPDATE: Jan. 31 @ 4:25 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP continue a weapons investigation on the North Shore Tuesday afternoon.
In an update, Cpl. Crystal Evelyn, spokesperson for the detachment, says one man is in the hospital with serious injuries but he is expected to live.
The public is still being asked to avoid the 2300-block of Bossert Avenue, however. The police presence has been reduced but is still active.
"As people start to get home from work we ask that they please review their home security and dash cam footage to see if anything was captured that could be related to this incident," stated Cpl. Evelyn.

(Original story: Jan. 31 @ 12:40 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP are asking the public to avoid a portion of Bossert Avenue in the Brocklehurst area due to an unfolding investigation.
At about 11:30 am, officers received a call about a weapons assault report in the area.
When they arrived on scene, one person was found with injuries and transferred to the hospital. The extent of the injuries is not known at this time.
The RCMP are asking the public to avoid the area, however, anyone who witnessed the incident or has any type of video surveillance can contact the detachment.
