RCMP need help locating suspects involved in Movie Mart robbery

The Kamloops RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two males who robbed the Movie Mart.

Yesterday afternoon at around 1:10 p.m. a male entered the Movie Mart on the 300 block of St. Paul Street.

According to police, the male had his face covered and was carrying a box knife when he jumped over the counter and had the employee open the cash register.

He took the money from the register and headed west on St. Paul Street, then south again through the east parking lot of the Double Tree Hotel toward the back alley.

The clerk was not injured during the incident.

The male is described as:

  • 5’ 8”
  • 160 pounds
  • Caucasian
  • Wearing a black toque, black bandana, grey zipped up hoody, blue jeans, grey running shoes and black gloves

According to RCMP, the male met with another person in the back alley. The second male is described as:

  • Same height the first suspect
  • Wearing a black baseball cap, black pea coat with a grey hoody underneath, blue jeans
  • White running shoes with light blue shoe laces
  • Carrying red “Under Armour” medium size duffle bag
