Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect who broke into an apartment on Arrowstone Drive and threatened a resident last night.
Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said RCMP responded to a break and enter report at 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday. The victim was in his bedroom on the ground level when someone broke the window and entered the room.
The male suspect had a knife and threatened the occupant before escaping with a laptop, a cell phone and the victim’s wallet. Luckily, the victim was not injured.
Shelkie said RCMP attempted to track the suspect with police dog services, but they were unsuccessful.
The suspect is described as: having dark skin, 25 years old, six feet tall, thin build. He was wearing a black toque, black winter jacket with a fur-lined hood and carrying a black backpack. The knife used by the suspect is described as a Bowie knife with a wooden handle.
