RCMP trying to ID male that grabbed girl near South Kamloops secondary

Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a male who grabbed a 15-year-old girl on Ninth Avenue on Wednesday, December 6th.

Cpl. Jodi Shelkie said the girl was walking northbound on Ninth Avenue between South Kamloops secondary and Lloyd George elementary at around 2:30 p.m. when a male grabbed her by the arm.

Shelkie said the girl was able to pull her arm away and run down to Columbia Street where she was meeting her father.

Patrols were made both by the girl’s father and police but the male was not located.

RCMP describe the male as caucasian, approximately 50 years old, with no facial hair. He was wearing a black toque, black hoodie and baggy brown pants.

RCMP are asking anyone with information about this incident, or anyone who can identify the man, to contact the Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
