(UPDATE: Feb. 12 @ 3:36 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP say the missing 16-year-old has been located “safe and sound.”
The boy was reported missing just before 3:30 pm on Wednesday.
KamloopsNow has removed the youth’s picture to respect his privacy.

(Original story: Feb. 12 @ 3:28 pm) – The Kamloops RCMP are asking for the public’s help locating a 16-year-old boy who has not been seen for several hours.
Liam Chorneychuk was last seen at the downtown library around 10:30 Wednesday morning.
“This is out of character for Liam and we are concerned for his well-being,” said Cpl. Dana Napier.
Chorneychuk is described as:
Vietnamese male
16 years old
Dark brown hair
Brown eyes
Navy blue hoodie
Black jacket
Black Pants
Dark blue backpack
Anyone who has information about his location is asked to immediately call the RCMP at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2025-4028.
