A stolen car, stolen identification and a loaded handgun led to the arrest of a male and female over the weekend.
On October 7th, a family member was visiting a patient at Royal Inland Hospital when their car keys were stolen by two suspects.
The male and female suspects then stole the victim’s vehicle from the hospital parkade.
Through hospital security footage and a police investigation, the police were led to a Kamloops residence where a 31-year-old female was arrested.
A search warrant was used to search the vehicle and obtain numerous items in connection to the victim.
Later the same day, Kamloops RCMP recovered the stolen vehicle and a 47-year-old male was arrested.
The police recovered stolen identification and credit cards, as well as a loaded handgun that was seized.
Police also found stolen property from previous break and enters in the Kamloops area.
Police are recommending a number of charges against the male and female, who are both known to police and just recently arrived in Kamloops.
