Suspect arrested, released after 3 people assaulted on the North Shore

Mounties are investigating an alleged assault on the North Shore earlier this week.

At about 2:50 pm on Sunday, officers were called to the area of King Street and McDonald Avenue where two people had allegedly been assaulted by three other people with weapons.

The victims were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The assault is not believed to be random,” a news release says.

A suspect was found nearby and arrested.

Officers seized two pellet guns during a subsequent search of the suspect, who was later released pending further investigation.

Anyone who witnessed the assault and has more information can call the Kamloops RCMP detachment at (250) 828-3000 and refer to file 2024-15004.
