Thompson Rivers University had a big Monday night after winning a major award in Vancouver.
TRU's Generator was awarded the Entrepreneur Support Award at the 2019 Startup Canada Awards for the BC region.
At the Gala hosted at the Imperial Theatre, the award was presented to the school by Elaine Brier, the Intuit Canada's Head of Strategic Partnership.
TRU's Generator provides mentorship, education, entrepreneurial support and helps identify grant opportunities for TRU students alumni, faculty, and staff. They host educational events, workshops, inspirational speakers, startup socials, and offer opportunities to meet with business coaches, collaborate with others entrepreneurs, and connect with a mentor network to discover available resources in the community.
